Photo 2: Pizzeria Pesto, 1925 S. Broad St., teamed up with The Moyer Foundation Dec. 27 for a fundraiser to assist Camp Erin-Philadelphia. The weekend overnight camp for children who have experienced the death of a significant person in their life, such as a parent, sibling, other family member or friend.

Photo 3: For the seventh consecutive year, Unity in the Community, under the guidance of 2011 South Philly Review Difference Maker Anton Moore, and numerous other altruistic organizations combined to hold Operation Holiday Help on Christmas Eve. The groups left from 20th Street and Snyder Avenue and proceeded to distribute toys and gifts to seven South Philly families.

Broad St., headed by 2016 South Philly Review Rising Star Amaia Childs, collected more than 50 toys for the Young Chances Foundation. The latter, based at Vare Recreation Center, 2600 Morris St., and headed by 2013 South Philly Review Difference Maker Tyrique Glasgow, then distributed the goodies to local children.
