West Passyunk woes

Two men teamed up to rid another male of his possessions in West Passyunk Sunday.

While walking on the 2000 block of Hemberger Street at 11 p.m., the complainant heard someone running behind him, turning around to see two unknown males approaching him, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The strangers pointed guns at him, the first demanded his belongings, with the victim parting with his headphone, iPod, wallet and cell phone.

The primary offender told him to walk away toward McKean Street but barked at him for his backpack before the complainant would follow the demand, Tolliver said. He left the item on the sidewalk and walked away, catching the aggressors running southbound on Hemberger Street toward Snyder Avenue.

He described the first as black, 6 foot, 20 to 24 years old; having a slim build; wearing a black baseball hat, a dark hoodie and a black mask to cover his face; and armed with a shiny silver gun with a black handle. The weapon might have had an attachment on it, too. He tabbed the other as black, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8; wearing a lighter color shirt and pants; and armed with a dark long-barreled gun.
