Le Virtu` Restaurant, 1927 E. Passyunk Ave., is kicking off the summer season with a cookout/cocktail party to benefit the Abruzzese folk group, DisCanto 6 to 9 p.m. May 25.
The restaurant plans to kick-off Campo, their outdoor garden area, with a special benefit to support the group’s October U.S. tour. Abruzzese specials such as stuzzichini (hors d’oeuvres) and a mouth-watering buffet of grilled pancetta, lamb and vegetables are on the menu. The cost is $15 a person.
