A South of South eatery will donate to a nonprofit that provides meals to those battling life-threatening diseases, including its former head chef.

Regis Jansen has stepped down as Rex 1516’s executive chef to focus on his health as he battles Cystic Fibrosis, a chronic lung disease. Jansen has trained former sous chef, Justin Swain, to take over.

During January, the restaurant will offer the cocktail Snappy Pamplemousse for $10, all of which will be donated to Manna.
