Neumann-Goretti senior Fransisca Simanullang is making use of all her talents.

"She is always willing to help in any situation and she has a great work ethic," the school's Admissions Director Veronica Oster said. "She is a pleasure for all of her teachers to have in the class. She is extremely talented and very humble with all of her accomplishments."

This 17-year-old, soon to be 18, has perfect attendance, is a member of the National Honor Society and is a Millay Scholar. Math and science are her top subjects, but her talents truly shine when she is at piano or playing violin.

"She is a wonderful addition to the Neumann-Goretti string orchestra," Oster said.

Fransisca stays active in other areas as well. Needless to say, she is not just one note.

Fransisca is a member of Neumann-Goretti's Community Service Corps, Pro-Life Club and varsity Mathletes. The resident of the 800 block of Pierce Street gets her inspiration from her mother, Hetma Situmerang.

"She is very supportive and always encourages me to give my best in everything I do," Francisca said.

This includes aspirations to be a business and engineering major at Drexel University.

Oster summed it up best, describing Fransisca as, "Determined, dedicated, kind, inspiring, intelligent, thoughtful and generous."
