The body of a local teen, hit with a single bullet, was found by police at about 12:20 a.m. Sunday in Society Hill.

Rahfeak Anthony Griggs, 17, from the 2200 block of McKean Street, was discovered at Seventh and Spruce streets, Officer Jill Russell of the Police Public Affairs Unit said.

Medics rushed the teen with a wound to the left side of his back to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he died at 12:31 a.m.

At press time, homicide investigators had no motive or suspects, but believe Griggs was killed elsewhere then deposited at Seventh and Spruce.

To report information, call the Homicide Division at 215-686-3334/5.

Shot in the head

Officers responding to a report of a shooting at Seventh and Tasker streets found a man unconscious and bleeding on the road.

Medic 43 transported the 25-year-old to Jefferson Hospital, where he was in critical but stable condition, with a gunshot to the back of his head and an exit wound above his left ear, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.

Residents in the area where the crime occurred told detectives a fight between the victim and several other men precipitated the shooting that occurred shortly before midnight Sunday. The offenders, all on bikes and who took off going south on Seventh and east on Tasker, were armed with pipes, but one had a handgun, police said.

To report information, call South Detectives at 215-686-3013.

Boot up

Computer usage sparked a violent confrontation between a couple on the 1800 block of Morris Street, police said.

At about 12:30 a.m. Oct. 29, the 46-year-old victim and his 47-year-old partner got into a verbal spat over his being on the machine, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detectives said. The suspect, identified as Sabrina Alburg, allegedly picked up a box cutter from inside the bedroom where the computer was located and stabbed the victim once in his left leg.

The wounded man drove himself to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he was treated and released for the small wound.

Meanwhile, cops arrested Alburg at the scene and recovered a blue-handled box cutter believed to be the weapon. Alburg was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person.
