Police charged a 53-year-old Point Breeze woman with murder after she allegedly stabbed her live-in boyfriend once in the chest Sunday afternoon during what is believed to have been a domestic dispute, the nature of which police did not disclose.
Rory Wallace, 50, from the 2300 block of Reed Street, was pronounced dead at the scene by a medic at 12:45 p.m., Officer Christine O'Brien of the Police Public Affairs Unit said.
Sylvia Johnson, 54, was taken into custody at the scene and charged with murder, aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person.
Police found a bullet-riddled 29-year-old unconscious on the 1200 block of South 17th Street at about 7 p.m. Sunday.
With two shots to his left leg and two to his right arm, the victim went to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in guarded condition.
Witnesses told cops the shooter exited the driver's side of a white van that had stopped on the block where the victim was found and pumped four bullets from a handgun at him as he walked on South 17th, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detectives said.
The gunman was described as about age 30 with a large build. The vehicle was described as a contractor-type van with two ladders on its roof.

A man took two bullets to his back after he left a tavern early Friday.
A medic took the 24-year-old to HUP in stable condition, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.
