
The Philadelphia Eagles honored five student-athletes with local ties at its May 25 Top Achievers Athletic Scholar Awards held inside the NovaCare Complex Auditorium.
The organization recognized area high school football players, who maintained a a 3.0 grade point average or higher throughout the 2009 season. Eagles head coach Andy Reid and fullback Leonard Weaver presented the awards.

Each honoree received a Top Achiever certificate, Weaver autographed football and tickets to the second annual Eagles Flight Night taking place Aug. 5 at Lincoln Financial Field.
