Police are trying to identify two men who pistol whipped an elderly employee of a West Passyunk tire store earlier this month.
Two men entered ADL Tire Co., 1541 W. Passyunk Ave., 1:52 p.m. July 13 through an open garage door, according to a press release from the Police Public Affairs Unit. Each armed with a black semi-automatic handgun, they demanded keys from a 78-year-old employee of the business. One of the men struck the employee in the head with the gun. Nothing was taken and both men fled on foot in an unknown direction.
Police transported the employee to the hospital for moderate head injuries.
The first suspect was described as black with a medium complexion, 5-foot-10, thin and wearing a long-sleeve blue shirt and blue jeans while the second was described as black with a medium complexion, 5-foot-7, medium build, a light beard and wearing a white T-shirt, blue baseball cap and blue jeans.
