City Council members visited Philabundance, 3616 S. Galloway St., to donate $2,000 that will provide meals for 4,000 families in need and launch a partnership with the nonprofit to eliminate hunger Monday (Photo 1).

Methodist Hospital, 2301 S. Broad St., hosted Swoop for Love Your Heart Day with the Eagles, which offered blood pressure screenings and cardiac rehabilitation expert consultations Tuesday (Photo 2).

South Philly Food Co-op member-owners (Photo 3) tasted delicacies that celebrity pastry chef Chad Durkin created, such as red velvet whoopie pies, at its Valentine’s Day fundraiser Saturday at a member’s Passyunk Square home (Photo 4).

Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 2329 S. Third St., defeated St. Thomas of Aquinas, 1719 Morris St., 62-46 at Neumann-Goretti High School, 1736 S. 10th St., for the Catholic Youth Organization Region 6 Boys Basketball championship Saturday.
