Models from Universal Audenried Charter High School, 3301 Tasker St., put on the Winter Elegance Fashion Show Dec. 21 (Photos 1 to 2).

Residents bid farewell to Christmas Saturday by treecycling. Columbus Square Park, 1200 Wharton St., received 677 trees, with the plants providing wood, chips and money for the site, along with funds for five civic associations (Photos 3 to 4).

Friends of Marconi Park participated, too, with money and chips to support their site, Broad Street and Oregon Avenue (Photo 5).

Greenlimbs received 152 trees at Weccacoe Playground, 405-25 Queen St., having them chipped at Whole Foods, 909 South St., with the pieces aiding the George W. Nebinger School, 601 Carpenter St., and the South Philadelphia Older Adult Center, 1430 E. Passyunk Ave. (Photo 6).

The Wells Fargo Regional Foundation gave Universal Companies, 800 S. 15th St., a $100,000 grant to further its Promise Neighborhood planning Tuesday at Audenried. (Photo 7).
