Saturday’s first annual South Philly Garden Tour offered a self-guided look at more than a dozen spaces, including the SPOAC Garden, 1430 E. Passyunk Ave (Photo 1) and the Moore Street Community Garden, Fifth and Moore streets (Photo 2).

Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 11th and Jackson streets, hosted Sunday’s Hope for Julia Bake Sale. Proceeds went to the family of Julia Parmisciano, who is awaiting a heart transplant (Photo 3).

Sixth-graders at Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter School, 2600 S. Broad St., are sure to excel this year, as they received iPads Sept. 8 (Photo 4).

About 70 attended the P’unk Square Community Art Show and auction at 821 Ellsworth St. that raised more than $2,000 for the Passyunk Square Civic Association Friday. (Photo 5).

After the Sunday’s game, Michael Vick, from left, joined Simon Carr for his 35th birthday celebration (Photo 6).
