Volunteers served their elders at Tasker Elite’s third annual senior dinner at Universal Audenried Charter High School, 3301 Tasker St., Monday (Photos 1 and 2).

Keep Philadelphia Beautiful launched the initiative, A Bag’s Life, Nov. 15 at Lincoln Financial Field, 1101 Pattison Ave., by educating the public on the recycling of plastic bags and wraps. The nonprofit’s director Phoebe Coles rewarded St. Peter’s School with a $500 check for its recycling efforts (Photo 3).

State Sen. Larry Farnese donated six turkeys toward an early Thanksgiving feast at Jackson Place Apartments, 501 Jackson St., which houses 68 low-income seniors, Nov. 18 (Photo 4).

Many area seniors will be thankful for Eric Holmes come Monday afternoon. After seeking food donations since last week, the Tasker Elite president will purchase the remaining needed items today to feed about 200 people a Thanksgiving meal.
