Universal Audenried Charter High School, 3301 Tasker St., marked the grand reopening of the Free Library of Philadelphia’s fifth Hot Spot Oct. 4 (Photo 1). It offers free access to computers, high-speed Internet and computer instruction.

Revelers gathered on Broad to 17th streets along South Street Saturday for the South of South Neighborhood Association’s fourth Bloktoberfest, enjoying beer, food and music (Photo 2).

The third annual Mums & Mutts event raised almost $10,000 for The Mummers Museum, 1100 S. Second St., and TreeTops Animal Rescue Oct. 6 at Burke Playground, Second and Jackson streets (Photo 3).

Members of St. Gabriel Church, 2916 Dickinson St., canvassed Grays Ferry Sept. 29 to honor their patron saint (Photo 4).

The Lower Moyamensing Civic and West Passyunk Neighbors associations partook in Saturday’s Big Fall South Philly Sweep (Photos 5 and 6).

“Mums and Mutts was an awesome event. The people, dogs and kids had a
blast. The raffles were the greatest ever. A good time was had by all !”
