A man armed with a knife robbed a Lower Moyamensing tanning salon of $26.

The man walked in Tan Quest, 2405 S. Broad St., at 9:40 a.m. Oct. 24 with a steak knife with a black handle and pressed it to a 20-year-old female employee, who was sitting behind the counter. He demanded she open the till and he took $26 before fleeing northbound on Broad, eastbound on Ritner Street and southbound on Watts Street.

The worker was unharmed, Tolliver said.

The offender was described as white, age 50, 5-foot-3, 150 pounds, cleanshaven; having dark-colored eyes, bushy eyebrows, salt-and-pepper-colored hair; and wearing a gray zip-up hoodie with the hood pulled up and dark-colored pants.
