Two men were arrested in East Passyunk Crossing after a verbal dispute over a barking pooch Saturday.
A 28-year-old started arguing with his neighbors — Anthony D. Espada, 54, and John Avallone, 34 — at 3:09 a.m. on the 2000 block of South Hutchinson Street about the dog’s disruption. It was unclear whether Espada or Avallone allegedly pulled out a bat, but one of them started to swing it at their neighbor while the other pointed a black handgun at the man, who called 911.
Both were arrested Sunday and charged with conspiracy, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime and firearm violations, according to court records. Each posted a percentage of his respective $50,000 bail Monday.
