Chemical chaos

A Point Breeze woman allegedly tossed bleach at a teen’s face during the a fight.


A 17-year-old and Shybree Cottle, 20, of the 2000 block of South Norwood Street, are believed to have a continuing clash that heated up at 11:40 a.m. Jan. 30 on the 2100 block of Moore Street, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Cottle supposedly threw bleach in her face, struck her in the back with a large stick, causing an abrasion, and chucked a screwdriver at her. 


Police located the victim on the 2200 block of Moore, and a medic unit flushed her eyes out with a saline solution. 


Police arrested Cottle at her home and charged her with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment, possession of an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person, according to court records. She posted a percentage of her $5,000 bail Friday.
