After a verbal dispute, a man was run over by a SUV hopping the curb outside of ShopRite Saturday evening.
At about 7 p.m., a man driving a gray SUV — possibly a Lincoln or a Ford — almost hit a 47-year-old in the supermarket parking lot on the 2300 block of Oregon Avenue, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Following a verbal and physical fight, the 47-year-old male left and sat on a bench when the driver drove his SUV on the sidewalk and hit him before fleeing east on Oregon.
The man was transported to HUP, but could not give a description of the driver or the car’s tag, Tolliver said.
