Double trouble

A Southwest Philly man was arrested for a Newbold/Point Breeze homicide.

Bashir Johnson, 22, of Southwest Philly was brought in for questioning and charged with murder and attempted murder Feb. 4, according to police.

Johnson allegedly killed Rahsul Busbee, 22, of the 1200 block of South 21st Street, and wounded a 23-year-old passenger in his 2013 Kia on the 1700 block of Titan Street at 1:59 a.m. Dec. 30, ’12, police said. Both men received bullets to the head. Busbee’s injuries resulted in his death at 2:12 a.m. while his counterpart was rushed to HUP in critical condition.

Johnson also was charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, possession of an instrument of crime and firearm violations, according to court records.
