Two men who allegedly killed a business owner and his family in a fall attempted robbery were apprehended last week.

Nalik Shariff Scott Ibrahim Muhammed

The FBI Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Nalik Shariff Scott, 30, of the 1300 block of South 24th Street, Saturday in Northeast Philly, police said. He was arrested for a drug possession and was charged for that along with three counts of murder, robbery and related offenses, according to court records.

Scott and Ibrahim Muhammed, 31, of Southwest Philly, allegedly walked into Lorena’s Grocery, 850 N. 50th St., at 7:56 p.m. Sept. 6, 2011 and demanded cash, police said. The armed duo is believed to have shot owner Porfirio Nunez, 49, of Cheltenham; his wife Juana Nunez, 44, also of Cheltenham; and his sister Lina Sanchez, 48, of West Philly, multiple times before fleeing empty-handed.

Muhammed was arrested Feb. 9 for possession of marijuana and related offenses, according to court records. Murder charges followed the next day.
