Police have released surveillance video of a Point Breeze afternoon shooting in hopes of apprehending the gunman.
A 45-year-old man was walking southbound on the 1600 block of South 24th Street at 2:35 p.m. Jan. 7, according to police. Three unknown men approached him when he reached Morris Street. He extended his hand to greet one of the men, who was wearing a red hat and green jacket, but instead of reciprocating, that man pulled out a firearm and began shooting, striking his victim multiple times before fleeing in an unknown direction.
A detailed description of the gunmen was not available at press time.
