Police are seeking the man who investigators believe is responsible for a shooting a woman two blocks from his Grays Ferry home.
A 28-year-old woman left Bailey Place, 1500 S. Bailey St., and after hopping in her auto at 1:47 a.m. May 19 on the 1400 block of South 26th St., Jhileel Burton, whom she knew from the neighborhood, is believed to have stopped her to talk, according to the Police Public Affairs Unit. After engaging in a conversation, the 18-year-old from the 1400 block of South Marston Street allegedly pulled out a firearm. The woman attempted to drive away, but Burton allegedly fired and wounded her right shoulder, which resulted in broken bones and nerve damage.

Burton is described as black with a light complexion, 6-foot-2, 135 pounds and having black hair brown eyes and tattoos on his face and neck.
