A teen was shot eight times after picking up Chinese food in Grays Ferry Saturday.
An 18-year-old retrieved his takeout order, but was unable to escape gunfire and safely make it back to his car.
The man exited Twin Dragon, 2700 Dickinson St., where he grabbed a late dinner at 11:40 p.m. Saturday, but as he walked toward his car, he spotted an armed man firing across Dickinson at him, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. He sprinted westbound on Dickinson until he reached 30th Street. He was struck eight times, but police would not disclose the wounds’ locations.
Officers responded and transported the victim to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in stable condition while detectives recovered ballistics evidence at the scene, Tolliver said.
Police did not have a detailed description of the offender at press time.
