While eating lunch in his car, a man was robbed in South of South last week.
The 20-year-old was parked on the 1500 block of Christian Street at noon Feb. 26 when an unknown man walked up to the driver’s side window and pointed a gun at the man, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The gunman snatched the man’s cell from his lap and demanded money. The victim took $50 from his wallet and handed it over. The offender fled northbound on 15th Street and hopped in the passenger’s side of a dark-colored auto that was driven by an unknown person and headed in an unknown direction.
The offender was described as black, 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, having a full beard and wearing a black jacket with dollar signs on it, faded blue jeans and tan boots.
