Our tree seems to have recovered from being ripped from the ground. I can only hope the thoughtfulness shown will allow the tree to grow and decency and respect for others' property could flourish in our neighborhood as well.

Vanishing act
To the Editor:
Riverside, N.J., and Hazelton have finally decided to rid their cities of illegal immigrants. They passed laws making it a crime to employ or rent housing to them. Now, if our governments would enforce their laws on the books, then our problem with illegal immigrants would disappear.
The federal law states it is illegal to hire illegal immigrants and employers are subject to a fine of $10,000. If enforced, the illegals with no work and no place to live would leave this country on their own.
I only hope more cities pass laws and enforce them. Only then will the problem disappear.
