To the Editor:

Dr. Arlene Ackerman, the former superintendent for the School District of Philadelphia, received a $905,000 payout. She left the district with a $629-million deficit.

Now she has filed for unemployment compensation in the amount of $573 a week. Although she is entitled to the funds, morally she is not. If her application is approved, it will be a travesty of justice for the citizens of Philadelphia.
