To the Editor:
Your publication is straining credibility with its “exceptional” rating of every restaurant. Within the past several months, virtually every review in “The Toque Stops Here” has awarded three tips. This renders the ratings meaningless. I would suggest that instead of displaying the weekly “three tips,” just run an editor’s note stating, “all restaurants reviewed are considered exceptional.”
Your same reviewer used to assign varied ratings. There are some excellent places, but also some very good, good, average and not so good ones. Your reviews strain credibility with their uniformity.
