To the Editor:

The American people told the government not to bail out the mortgage and investment banks with $700 billion tax dollars. The government did it anyway. Government mortgage schemes enforced since the Community Redevelopment Act have collapsed the housing market and imperiled banks. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac bought and distributed worthless mortgage-backed-securities worldwide. Wells Fargo said it didn’t need or want bailout money. The government intimidated banks to take the money. The banks paid it back. The government will not say what it did with the funds that were paid back and the media isn’t asking.

The reason we are having these problems is we have elected over and over again, and put in power the worst among us. We should discern choices and judge individuals by God’s commandments. “Thou shalt not steal; thou shalt not bear false witness; thou shalt not commit adultery,” from Exodus 20 and Mark 10. Experienced politicians created the mess we are in.

President George Washington on Oct. 3, 1789, from New York City, proclaimed a national day of Thanksgiving: “Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of the Almighty God, to obey his will, be grateful for his benefits and humbly implore his protection and favor” ...

He also said, “It is impossible to govern righty without God and the Bible.”

Americans have been taught with books written by atheists like John Dewey, educator, philosopher and father of American progressive education, and those who understand as said Joseph Stalin. “America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: Its patriotism, its mortality and its spiritula life. If we can understand these three areas then America will collapse from within.
