With the Philadelphia Phillies on winter hiatus, the NHL is filling the vacancy for its one-day spectacle known as the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic. Besides constructing an outdoor ice hockey rink, a lot of hours are being spent pitching tents for the spectator plaza — the free fan experience taking place just outside of Citizens Bank Park, 1 Citizens Bank Way, Dec. 31 through Jan. 2.
