The powdery white stuff may be great for snowball fights and snowmen, but not for wheels as one commuter found out the hard way when his vehicle got caught on 12th Street near Moyamensing Avenue late Monday morning. Shovels and rock salt do not seem to be making much of a dent in the giant mounds that have piled up recently, but with each frigid day that passes, spring gets a little closer. In fact, it begins next month.

“Tell me about it. I work in south philly and on one on the most visited streets; South Street. I don't think it matters what size car you have. I drive a huge Ford and I got stuck today in front of my job. Most people just walked by and stared. Thank god 3 men decided to help push me out. Even the parking meter lady tried to help me get out lol! It's humiliating!!!”

“The latest news I heard about the horrific situation in the city is that Nutter wants people to move their cars from the streets (I guess the really small ones), BEFORE the snow comes, in order to aid w/plowing. WOW... that'll work out real well.. where are they supposed to park their cars then? It's not as if there's tons of parking lots to go to.”
