What are your thoughts on Obama signing the health care bill into law?
“I think it’s good because a lot of people don’t have health insurance. Hopefully, the health insurance will be lower than the co-pays.”
“I think it’s about time, especially the clause about the pre-existing conditions. It’s got to be better than what we had.”
“I’m not sure yet ... we really don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors. I only know what they tell me.”
“I think it’s something we have to wait and see about ... it’s great for people who are in need of it as long as it’s not at the expense of others.”

“The pre-existing conditions portion does not kick in until 2014 for chilren and adults. Most items in the bill will not kick in until 2014..healthcare layawy. Pay now, but no benefit until later.
It is at the expense of others, we all pay and we pay more. People who make more than $200,000 will pay more and in addition, they will be taxed on their unearned income..401K, other investments etc All premiums will rise, even those provided by employers.
In the bill there is no cap on what insurance companies can pay. They have a huge mandated fee, so that cost will be passed onto the consumer.
Quality will go down. Costs will go up. Doctors are already planning to leave their practices because they cannot survive on medicare reimbursements. There will be a doctor shortage. Something new is not always better than what we already have.
I wish more people would read the bill or at least search out sites and articles that explain the key points of the bill.”

“What a shame the people have gotten to the point that Government has to take care of them. The ignorant, particularly the liberals, have no idea the damage this gov run "Health Care" will do to our economy. The country is trillions of dollars in debt that generations still to come will be strapped with, and the greedy say "well it's about time"! The corruptness in Washington is astounding, and the media, with few exceptions, which is supposed to be our watchdog to expose the tyrants is complicit and also corrupted.
Has there ever been a government program that worked and didn't bust the budget? I'm thinking about Social Security, Medicare , Medicaid, Amtrac, Post Office, TSA, Homeland Security, etc, and now lets add National Healthcare! This Congress and Obama administration are damaging America and it appears the only way to stop the disaster is by voting them out in November 2010 & 2012. Does anyone realize the IRS will moniter compliance, & access our financial accts! Wake Up!!”
