“The Gaming Board has to be realistic. They have to understand that a lot of this is caused by community opposition and any other investor is going to see that.”

“They need to bring Steve Wynn back in. I think [Mayor Michael] Nutter had something to do with why he backed out and it’s a real loss.”

“I think they should try to get Steve Wynn back or find another buyer.”

“It would have fair if the Review had interviewed at least one person from Pennsport or Queen Village, whose neighborhoods are right next to the Foxwoods site, rather than just interview 4 people who live on 10th, Broad, 16th & 23rd streets respectively. The waterfront should be used for working family full-time port jobs rather than part-time casino jobs. Put the part-time casino jobs and the predatory casino in Center City near the hotels, Convention Center and public transportation where it belongs. We can also put the casino at the old Spectrum site since Ed Snider owns that too and he is a Foxwoods investor. Let's see how the residents of 10th to 23rd streets like that!”
