Duren and Moore honored

Sophomore guard Tyreek Duren, a 2010 graduate of Ss. Neumann-Goretti High School, 1736 S. 10th St., earned Big 5 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week as he helped the La Salle Explorers to a pair of wins. He averaged 21 points in the two contests, helping his team to dump Boston University and the University of Hartford.

Senior guard Ramone Moore, an ’07 graduate of South Philadelphia High School, 2101 S. Broad St., made the Atlantic 10’s honor roll. He averaged 17 points of the Temple Owls in victories against the universities of Buffalo and Delaware.
