A select group of high school seniors have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their athletic careers on the next level.
Ss. Neumann-Goretti High School, 1736 S. 10th St., Class of 2012 members Joey Gorman (St. Joseph’s University, baseball); Jimmy Kerrigan (Temple University, baseball); Omowumi “Ki-ke” Rafiu (Georgetown University, women’s basketball); and Derrick Stewart (Rider University, men’s basketball) have signed with Division I schools.
Preparatory Charter High School, 1928 Point Breeze Ave., pitcher Michael Borelli has signed with Division II’s University of the Sciences while classmate Kahleah Copper, a 6-foot-1 guard, has signed with the Division I Rutgers University women’s basketball team.
