Mercury Rising
The thick, steamy air of this week’s heat wave didn’t stand a chance against the cool-off techniques of, from left, Austin Gabrandis, Dillon Chestnut and Julian DeSone, who drenched themselves during a refreshing, impromptu pool party on their block at Porter and Sheridan streets. Opting out of the swim session, grandmother Peggy Rosen played lifeguard from her stoop Tuesday afternoon while the trio evacuated the burning concrete, splashing and crashing into the cooling blue.
